Snakes in Beds

These are movies that have snakes in beds or sleeping bags or other places where someone regularly sleeps. Most of them are supposed to be wild snakes where they are not expected, and a few are supposed to be pet snakes that are allowed in bed.

Alexander (2004)

Alexander the Great's mother Olympias, played by Angelina Jolie, keeps a basket full of snakes in her bedroom. In one scene we see Alexander depressed in bed with a large albino snake on his lap.

Ator, the Fighting Eagle (1982) [Ator l'invincible]

Ator is abducted by a beautiful witch named Indun (Laura Gemser) who likes to get sensual with snakes in her bed.

Black Moon (1975)

A snake craws into bed with a teenage girl.

Bloody Wednesday (1987)

A snake crawls into a sleeping man's bed, over his body and stares him in the face.

Bowanga Bowanga - (White Sirens of Africa aka Wild Women) (1951)

A large python drops through the roof of a hut onto a bed.

Calamity of Snakes (1982)

An army of snakes invades an apartment building, killing everyone in their path. In one scene we see a man sleeping in bed killed by the snakes. In another scene we see a little girl in a bed covered with snakes.

Charlie Chan at the Circus (1936)

When Charlie Chan is in bed sleeping, someone puts a cobra on the bed to kill him, but his son shoots it.

A Clockwork Orange (1971)

Alex has a pet Boa Constrictor that he keeps in a drawer and lets sleep on his bed.

The Devil's Brigade (1968)

Someone puts a rattlesnake under a soldier's bedcovers in his barrack.

The Devil's Nightmare (1971)

The Devil's succubus uses a snake to kill a woman sleeping in her bed.

The Devonsville Terror (1983)

Someone put a snake under the bedcovers of a woman they suspect to be a witch to kill her or maybe to just convince her to leave town.

The Dude Ranger (1934)

A cowboy drops a rattlesnake out of a bag onto a sleeping man's bed to try to kill him.

Eva Nera (Black Cobra) (1976)

Judas, a rich playboy living in Hong Kong, keeps venomous snakes in cages that he sometimes likes to put in bed with his women. After an exotic snake dancer named Eva Nera moves in with him, she does the same.

The House on Skull Mountain (1974)

A snake crawls into a sleeping woman's bed, kills her, then turns into a voodoo zombie.

Jaws of Satan (1981)

A rattlesnake crawls into bed with a woman but a man comes and kills it then takes its place.

The Killer Snakes (She sha shou) (1975)

A snake bites and kills a young girl sleeping in bed.

Mogambo (1953)

A woman at a safari camp in Africa sees a large snake on the floor and screams in terror, but it's only the resident house python, Old Joe, who is called a "migratory mousetrap." Later she finds it in her bed then screams at it and throws it on the floor.

Mountaintop Motel Massacre (1983)

A woman intent on killing all of the guests in her motel puts a venomous snake in one of the rooms, which bites a man on the cheek. When the Sheriff comes to investigate, he finds a small snake lying on a bed.

Nadine (1987)

Nadine finds a rattlesnake in her bed then shoots it with a shotgun.

Naked Obsession (Spiando Marina aka The Smile of the Fox) (1992)

A beautiful young Argentine woman likes to get naked and play with her pet snake named Tango in her bed.

Rattlers (1976)

A den of rattlesnakes is contaminated by an experimental military nerve gas that makes them overly aggressive. They kill anyone in their path, invading houses, crawling into bathtubs and beds.

Road to Zanzibar (1941)

Bob Hope finds a snake in the bed of his jungle tent.

The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (1976)

During his cocaine withdrawals Sherlock Holmes hallucinates snakes in his bed.

Shoot the Living and Pray for the Dead (1971)

A woman hostage of a band of outlaws making for Mexico lies down on a blanket to take a nap. A snake crawls up to her but the hero of the movie quickly shoots its head off.
(Technically, this one isn't actually in her bed, but it gets only a few inches away, which is close enough for this list.)

Snake Island (2002)

Tourists are stranded on Snake Island where thousands of angry snakes try to kill them anywhere they go, including when they're sleeping in bed.

The Speckled Band (1931)

When Sherlock Holmes investigates a case of a woman who died mysteriously in bed, he discovers that someone dropped a snake down a ventilation shaft onto the bed.

Suburbicon (2017)

We see a boy's pet snake crawling over the dead body of a murdered man lying in a bed.

The Squeaker (Der Zinker) (1963)

We see a weird man who takes care of the animals in an animal selling business lying in his bed cuddling a snake. Later we see him put a snake in a house to kill someone. The snake crawls through the house then onto a man sleeping in his bed.

Tales of Terror (1962)

A drunk hallucinates a rattlesnake in his bed.

Vipers (2008)

Genetically-enhanced vipers invade a remote island town and kill and eat everybody they can find, including people sleeping in bed.

White Huntress (1954)

A woman in Africa sleeping outdoors in a sleeping bag is startled to find a large snake crawling over her body.

The Witches of Eastwick (1987)

We see Alexandra sleeping in bed with a snake on her pillow. She gets out of bed screaming and throws off the covers and we see that her bed and her entire bedroom are covered with snakes.

Women in Cages (1971)

A snake crawls through a barred prison window then a woman prisoner picks it up with a stick and puts it on her cellmate who is sleeping in her bunk bed.
