This is that old caveman movie in which Raquel Welch wears a fur bikini and gets carried away by a flying dinosaur. She's the only thing memorable about the movie. The poster was made famous again in the movie The Shawshank Redemption in 1994 but even that's a long way back now.

An announcer voice tells us that there are not many people on the planet and they rarely leave their tribe. They don't even know there are other tribes nearby. But in this story, we see Tumak, a guy from a tribe of brunettes, forced to leave his tribe and live on his own.

Tumak escapes an attack by a giant lizard, and keeps walking, but he is in bad shape from injuries and the harsh desert conditions. He collapses on a dune above a beach where he is discovered by Loana (Raquel Welch), a woman from a tribe of blondes who is with a group of other blonde fur-bikini-wearing women who are catching fish with spears. (Loana's tribe is more advanced than Tumak's. They have learned how to sew, how to make sharp obsidian spearheads, and how not to fight over food and kill each other, while Tumak's tribe basically live like filthy, violent, wild animals.)

When Loana tries to help Tumak, a gigantic sea turtle appears on the dunes above them. She throws rocks at the turtle then blows a seashell horn to call her tribesmen to come and fight the turtle. Before the men arrive, the turtle walks towards her and Tumak causing them to roll down the sand dune, but the turtle never attacks them. I think the turtle just wanted to get to the ocean and they were in its path. The men in Loana's tribe throw their spears at the turtle, doing little harm, and eventually the turtle gets into the water and nobody is injured.

The turtle is made of stop motion special effects done by the great Ray Harryhausen. We also see several other of his special effects dinosaurs in the movie, along with a scene with a giant sea turtle. There's also a brief snake scene.
