Snakes in Movies   Mutant Python (2021)   Spoiler Alert ! Some of these pictures and descriptions may give away plot details that you might not want to know before watching the film.   This is a Chinese giant monster snake movie that takes place around a secluded mountain village in northern Fujian that is terrorized by a giant snake mutated by the pollution in an abandoned mine. In the beginning we see beggars hired to clean the bones of the ancestors in an underground crypt attacked by a horde of snakes. One of them runs out screaming that the snake fairy is back. Wenlin and Wenjuan's family has been banished from the village and Wenlin catches snakes for food. When he is releasing a snake in the water he sees an old man get eaten by a giant snake when he's trying to rape a woman. The villagers fear that a giant snake, the snake fairy, has returned. In order to stop it, they believe that they need to sacrifice a pure and innocent young girl from a particular family, so they capture Wenjuan. To stop the sacrifice, her brother Wenlin brings snake catchers to catch the giant snake.They manage to lure the snake with an Indian flute and after other methods fail, they finally catch it with a giant trap. When they bring the dead snake into town to prove that it's just an ordinary monster, and not the mythical snake fairy, the even bigger snake fairy shows up to spoil the party.
