True Blood  (2008 +)

Spoiler Alert !

Some of these pictures and descriptions may give away plot details that you might not want to know before watching the film.

True Blood
True Blood isn't a movie, it's an HBO TV series, and the shot of a salamander isn't even from one of the episodes, it's from the opening credits. But it's one of the rare appearances of a salamander on film, so I have to include it.
The opening credits begin with an underwater shot of a neotenic Ambystomatid salamander, then the camera raises up out of the water and we see the shore beyond. The credit sequence shows lots of other shots of wildlife, including a slow motion rattlesnake strike, with a nice raunchy country song by Jace Everett in the background. For me, the credits are the best part of the show, but I haven't watched it much because who can afford HBO?
